CastleVision is the studio's patented method for filming a real place with its real light and movement and bringing it onto the stage. Nearly any scene can be shot without leaving the studio: 250+ sets are ready to load, in-house artists build any place that can be described, and CastleVision captures any real place in the world. That opens creative possibilities for filmmakers, brands and anyone with a story to tell. L.A. Castle Studios (Burbank) and ABQ Castle Studios (Albuquerque) are sister facilities run by the same team. Productions shoot final-pixel, in-camera imagery in a real-time Unreal Engine virtual production studio instead of building physical sets or chasing locations: the world behind the talent is a photoreal environment rendered live and lit to match, with parallax that follows the camera, so the camera can move inside it on an encoded crane or dolly and several cameras can shoot the same space at once. Both studios run the identical CastleVision pipeline and share the full set library. Albuquerque is where the company shoots most of its feature films; it is a New Mexico Qualified Production Facility on the state's 30% refundable film credit and needs no film permit. Burbank shoots use city permits. A virtual set operator drives the environment on every booking; camera and teleprompter crew are an optional package. Neither studio shoots against an LED volume: the background is composited live on green. The Burbank studio's giant LED wall is its video village, the big screen where the whole team watches the finished composite; the LED video village is in Burbank only. If a location is not in the library, in-house set builders and artists build it, or CastleVision captures the real place anywhere in the world and replays it on stage.
